Cookies are tiny text files that a website saves in your browser when you visit. They're used for all sorts of things — from keeping you logged in, to tracking you across the internet for adverts.
We only use the first kind. Nothing sneaky.
We set exactly two cookies. Both are strictly necessary for the site to work.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
tio_session | Keeps you logged in to your dashboard. Only set when you sign in. | 7 days | Strictly necessary |
csrf_token | Protects you when you submit forms — prevents sneaky third-party sites from making requests on your behalf. | 24 hours | Strictly necessary |
We don't use any marketing, advertising, or analytics cookies. Zero.
Our analytics tool is Counter.dev, which is fully cookie-free. There's no Google Analytics here, no Facebook pixel, no ad retargeting — none of that.
Nope. Under UK PECR rules, you only need to ask for consent if you're setting non-essential cookies — things like analytics or advertising. Both of our cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function.
That's why you won't see a cookie consent popup here. We're not trying to avoid compliance — we genuinely just don't need one.
We don't set any third-party cookies ourselves. However, when you make a payment, you'll interact with Stripe's checkout, which is hosted on their domain. Stripe may set their own cookies over there — those are covered by Stripe's cookie policy, not ours.
You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Every browser is a bit different — look for something like “Privacy” or “Site data” in the settings menu.
Just a heads up: if you block our cookies, you won't be able to stay logged in to your dashboard. The compression tool itself still works without cookies — you just won't have a persistent session.
If we ever change what cookies we use, we'll update this page and the date above. By continuing to use the site after changes are made, you're accepting the updated policy.
